Disclaimer: This book contains enough sexual tension to melt snow, the hottest near-kiss in the history of near-kisses, and a sexy snowboarder determined to win the heart of the girl he loves. Zoey Miller lives for her holidays in Aspen. Her time up on the mountain with the Madison brothers, Parker and Luke, is everything. But for the first time, it’s not enough. This time, she’s determined to win one of the brothers’ hearts.
But the brother she has in mind is a renowned player, with hordes of snow-bunnies following him around Snowmass resort. And the other…well, he’s her best friend and knows she deserves better. Namely him. And he’s going to win her heart.
There is no Wicked Witch of the west and no Good Witch from the North in this story. But… they do sing off key and somehow fly through the air on a board instead of a broom.Parker has been in love with his best friend, Zoey for two years now. They have been friends since they were little. Zoey lives in Texas and Parker lives in Aspen, Colorado. During the year Zoey’s family visit Parker’s family and together they spend holidays and summer vacations with each other. Parker’s love for Zoey has only grown and blossomed. He is determined to tell her this year and do something about it. Only, a large problems comes about, named Luke, Parker’s older brother.
Zoey is used to being called Barbie. She has the blonde hair and blue eye thing down. She is fit and smart, but her high school friends and peers don’t know the real Zoey. She honestly rather be in the snow on a board then anywhere. Her best friend in the world is a guy that she only gets to see a few times a year. She knows she can be herself with him, and that is all she wants. Things seem to be changing and she doesn’t want to ruin what she has with Parker, but she can’t help it if she is attracted to Luke. She is going to do what she can to win over the guy she wants. Whomever that may be.
This is a great friends-to-more story. Zoey reminds me of a friend I had (and still have) growing up. She was (still is) beautiful, blonde, talented, and everyone loved her. I spoke to her one day and asked told her how jealous I was that all the boys just fall at her feet. She told me, “it may seem nice, but I honestly don’t know most of the time which guys are into me for my looks or into me for Me.” Every senses then I looked at her different. People thought she was a snob and stuck up, but I knew different. I think Zoey was in a similar situation. She was adored and admire for her beauty. Men/Guys would stop in their tracks, and worst part was, she had to keep up a certain persona, because of what people perceived. The only person she didn’t have to do that with was Parker. He saw her for who she truly was; without all the makeup and perfect hair. He truly loved her. A guy that is willing to be with you, when you are sick and don’t feel good, is a keeper.
some spoilers… Proceed with caution. I love Parker! This story is nice guys finish FIRST! I think we have so many bad-boy books that we miss the good guy ones. Parker is devoted to Zoey and his family. He would do anything for them. He is a good person, and an incredible snowboarder. He only does it as a hobby, because that isn’t what he wants to do for the rest of his life.
Luke was a total snob. I honestly wanted to punch the guy in the face so many times in this book. He may come off oh-so-cool, but do not be fooled.
This book was a fun and an easy read. I honestly love Entangled Crush books, they are just fun and leave you with your HEA.
I wish they would make a part 2 of Zoey and Parker’s story when they go to college, but honestly I doubt that will happen.
Worth the read.
It will put a smile on your face.
