Blushing Bay Series
By Annie Rains
Adult Contemporary Romance
Expected publication: October 3rd 2017
The irresistible Sawyer brothers of Blushing Bay, North Carolina, are back in this enchanting novel from the USA Today bestselling author of Forbidden Kisses and the Hero’s Welcome series.
Krista Nelson loves being a pediatric nurse. What she doesn’t love is her demanding boss and stressful workload. Fortunately, Krista knows she can count on a waterfront happy hour every Wednesday with her childhood best friend, Noah Sawyer, the one part of her life she never wants to change. But, like it or not, things are changing—because Krista can’t stop wondering what would happen if she grabbed Noah by the collar and kissed him like it was her job.
Bored of the superficial women he’s been dating, Noah’s putting his love life on hold so he can focus on his family’s high-end fishing business. Sure, there are moments when he’s tempted by Krista’s soft lips and killer smile—but her friendship is too important to Noah. How could he let himself jeopardize everything they share? The trouble is, if he doesn’t take the real risk of opening his heart, Noah might just let the perfect catch get away.

If you had a best friend of the opposite sex that you were in love with in the romantic way, how long would you wait around for them to admit they have feelings for you too? Would you be too scared that admitting your feelings would change your relationship? Would you be scared to be rejected? There are many variables to consider. I don’t know if I could hold out as long as our friend Krista could, but in all true love stories there is always something.
Noah and Krista have been best friends for forever, and Krista has been in love with Noah just as long. Noah has no idea that Krista loves him or even looks at him that way. He has always thought of her as one of the guys. Just another ‘bro.’ Krista finally gives up on the hopes of becoming more of a woman in Noah’s eyes and starts to date other people. Noah doesn’t like this. He doesn’t like that Krista isn’t following their usual routine. Now after one late drunk night with a steamy kiss that one doesn’t remember and the other is trying REALLY HARD to forget, these two have no use but to finally give in to their desires and strong connection.
Okay, I love Annie Rains writing. She write romance without being trashy. She puts steam in the story, without it getting clouded by sex. So I will always say that you can never go wrong with any of Annie Rains books.
This book I liked a lot. I think the dynamic between Noah and Krista is real. I just have a hard time with how long it took them. They are in their late 20’s. I mean girlfriend you waited a REALLY long time for him. I applaud you, but honestly I would have thrown in the towel on that love a long time ago.
For what the story is, I highly recommend. I am excited though for the next book about the eldest brother. Ooooohhhhhhh that one has to be good. There has been too many hints thrown at us in the last two books for there not to be.
I give stolen Kisses a 4.
Solid characters, enjoyable read, steamy and dreamy.
I have read majority of Annie Rain’s books. I love them. She is a phenomenal writer. She writes contemporary adult romance stories with solid characterization, realistic obstacles, and strong chemistry. If you haven’t read any of her books you should. Here are some of my other reviews of her stories.
