Falling For The Beast by Victorine E. Lieske

Aribelle is backed into the position of cleaning house for the horrible Mr. Thaddeus Walker. Not only is he rude, he’s dangerously secretive, going out at night and coming home with injuries which seem to heal mysteriously fast. She should be keeping her distance, not trying to break down his barriers. But the more she uncovers, the more attracted she becomes until the cost of exposing his secrets fades behind the risk of losing her heart.

Thaddeus knows he should have sent the girl away instead of allowing her into his home. Now she’s asking questions he can’t answer. And the more time they spend together, the more he wishes he could pull her close and kiss her. But he can’t afford to do that. Beautiful Aribelle could never love a beast.

Falling for the Beast is a sweet romance.

Aribelle is alone in the world. Her father passed away a few months prior and her current circumstances are anything but taken care of. She gave up school and a future to take care of her dying father and now she is need of money. The only thing she is able to find through a temp agency is a housekeeper position. She doesn’t fit the physical qualifications for the positions but she knows she pleaded for a trail run. For the next week she works for the brute and aloof Mr. Thaddeus Walker.

Thaddeus hasn’t had the easiest life and he allowed himself to be a self-sacrificing martyr that helps keep his beastliness in check. He purposely keeps people far away from him and has given up dreaming of a new life. Thaddeus was not happy when he laid eyes on Aribelle. She was young and pretty, which made it very difficult to keep his emotions in check with her. He kept pushing her away, but had a need to keep her safe. (Something like an Edward Collen and Bella Swan).

When Aribelle begins to discover there is something not all right with Mr. Walker she starts to pry into his nightly outings. It is strange to her that he comes home every morning more bruised and beaten then the day before, yet miraculously heals. Once Aribelle begins chipping Mr. Walker, now Thaddeus’s harden exterior, she discovers a man that seeks redemption for his mistakes. Their desperate emotional and physical bond continues and thus the romance blossoms.

The book was actually surprisingly good. I mean it captivated my attention, and I wanted to know more about Aribelle and Thaddeus. The beauty and the beast concepts were there, however Aribelle wasn’t a physical prisoner. She needed the job and wouldn’t give up of quit.

Thaddeus’s situation sucked, but however it showed his desire to become a better person and to learn how to control himself. His devotion to Aribelle helped him become a better man. I give the overall story 4 hearts. Let’s be honest folks this review isn’t everything it should be. I read it a few weeks ago and I thought I had the review already written. Well needless to say I couldn’t find it, so this is my review based off what I remember from reading it.
