These Royals will ruin you…

From mortal enemies to unexpected allies, two teenagers try to protect everything that matters most.

Ella Harper has met every challenge that life has thrown her way. She’s tough, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to defend the people she loves, but the challenge of a long-lost father and a boyfriend whose life is on the line might be too much for even Ella to overcome.

Reed Royal has a quick temper and even faster fists. But his tendency to meet every obstacle with violence has finally caught up with him. If he wants to save himself and the girl he loves, he’ll need to rise above his tortured past and tarnished reputation.

No one believes Ella can survive the Royals. Everyone is sure Reed will destroy them all.
They may be right.

With everything and everyone conspiring to keep them apart, Ella and Reed must find a way to beat the law, save their families, and unravel all the secrets in their Twisted Palace.

#BUYNOW
The third and (sad to say) finally book in the Royals Trilogy. Secretly, okay, not so secretly I would love to have more in this series; and, I know I am not the only one wishing for that.

First off, if you haven’t read book one or two, you need to stop right here and go read my reviews and then READ those books. Better yet just click here and go get yourself a copy. You will not regret it.

Twisted Palace picks up right where we left off with Broken Prince. Poor Reed. He is up a creek with no paddle. I mean everything that could go bad for this guy does. I honestly HATED him in the first book. I wanted to beat the idiot with a heavy cast iron pan; but, as the series continued we realize that Reed has more layers to him then an onion. I was team Easton and Gideon in book 1. Then I shifted to team Reed when we got to see his POV in book 2.

Reed and Ella are good for each other. They bring out better qualities when they are together. When they are apart, they don’t always make wise choices. Which we have seen in both book 1 and 2.

Ella’s life is not an easy one, but while living with the Royal’s, some things – such as: food, clothes, shelter, money – are not as important anymore because they have provided that for her. She is not ungrateful. I think she has become accustomed to so much uncertainty in her life that she is always prepared to be on the go.

Ella deserves some happiness and Reed gives that to her, but with the murder charges knocking at the Royal’s door and the resurrection of Ella’s father nothing is what it seems.

We continue with alternating POV’s between Reed and Ella. They get torn apart in this book because of outside influences. I don’t mean they break up or anything like that, so calm yourself. I mean they physically get separated by adult authorities. Why is it that every time someone wants to do something right or protect something/someone they have to go all cave man/ control freak on it. We see that with Reed and Steve.

You every realize that when someone is trying ot turn attention away from them in a negative way, they probably have a secret they don’t want anyone to big up? I think that is Steve in a nut shell. How did he survive? Who tried to kill him? Why come back now? Why not contact your friend

I enjoy these two authors. They know how to keep their readers wanting more and they do not disappoint. This story, even though the majority of the characters are in high school, this would still be considered 17+ with content, language, sexual interaction, murder, and everything else we love in a good soap opera.  Gossip Girls addicts must read this series. Totally up your alley.

I think we need more. Who is with me! I think we need to go to college with Ella. We need to see what happens with Easton. What about Sav and Gid? Am I right? Anyone else want to know about our favorite twisted Royals? I do! Bring it on!

Spoilers

If you have NOT READ Twisted Palace – DO NOT continue. I am going to talk about “OMG” moments and “What the F’s!”

Where you trying to figure out the entire time, who did it and why? I was.  There were a few points that I swear I thought I knew who was good and bad, but the story just took a slightly different turn. The bad guys, end up being not too bad and the supposed decent people end up being crazy. Or beyond.

Okay first off I am going to say. THANK goodness Brooke gets killed. That woman was worse than evil. She was the devil reincarnated. Couldn’t stand her. The perfect villain. Even though Dehila was an evil witch also, she did end up coming to Ella’s rescue, which I thought end up being awesome.

I want to know why Gideon was so MIA through everything in this book. He was staying out of everything. I guess it makes a little bit of since. He was a few hours away at school, but still his brother was in JAIL! You would think he would care a little bit more; but, that is the Royal drama for you.

Another thought… could any more evidence point to Reed killing Brooke. I mean the video tapes, the DNA under Brooke’s finger nails, motive, opportunity, and no alibi. Come on, it was like he landed on the “Go to Jail, do not collect $200” on a monopoly board game.  Honestly I think everyone had thought there was a possibility that could have done it. Goodness sake even Ella thought he did at some points. Don’t blame the girl. The guy knows how to throw a punch and it pretty intimidating. But what I love about Ella is that once she has your back you can’t shake her. She loved Reed and will fight tooth and nail to figure out what happened to him; and keep him from going to prison.

Side note: If any of you seen Zootipia, I wish Ella had the carrot pen that Judy has in that movie. It would have helped so much when talking to some of the different characters {wink wink}. Wouldn’t that have rocked? I wanted her to just pull one out and go, I gotch ya! “It’s your word against, your word.” HA! I would have loved it so much.

So should you read this?

Well if you have gotten this far, then Duh! Of Course!
