These Royals will ruin you…
From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.
Reed Royal has it all―looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.
What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely―keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.
Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.
She might be right.
Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.
Twisted Palace (Available October 2016)
All I can say at this moment is, OCTOBER! Really we have to wait now till October for the Twisted Palace the 3rd book in the Royals series. Aggghhh!
Okay so just general facts and thoughts, then I am going to talk about my theories of the book. Don’t worry, if you haven’t read it I will give you fair warning before I start spoiling it.
The story starts off from Reed’s POV. About 1/3 of the book is from his perspective. We find out what was going on through his head during the end of book 1 and how the situation came about. The first book you are so unsure of Reed and his intentions. He is a total jerk for most of the book and then we are left on that huge cliffhanger. Book 2 is a different story. You start to fall for the guy. He does whatever he can to win Ella back. I think some of things he did to make her happy were so awesome.
This book you come to realize a few things.
- Everyone is not as naive of what is going on; as we may think they are.
- Easton, Reed and all the other men in the Royal family have HUGE abandonment issues, due to their mother’s death. It comes out very profoundly when Ella is gone and even after she returns.
- A family that sticks together can win together.
- Callum Royal (daddy royal) is pretty Bad Ass, when he wants to be.
One of my favorite scenes is when Ella and Jordon had a huge fight at the school (again). I am not going to go into details, but OMG it was awesome! Ella is a chick you wouldn’t want to get into a dirty fight with. Let me just put it that way.
One thing that I was wondering about was once Ella and Reed reconciled, what happened to Val? I mean she was in the book so much, and then the last 20% she was barely in it. Just wondering. Val has her own issues with her boyfriend.
These are our villains: Brooke, Jordon, and Dinah. I think there may be more, but these are the obvious ones we are aware of. Brooke is a pathological liar and manipulator. She will ruin anyone in her path. How she and Callum first started hooking up was quite a shocker. Callum gives us a few revelations about Maria, Brooke, and himself that we didn’t see coming.
Do I think this book is good for YA? Well this one is a little cleaner (but not that much). I still consider it a New Adult genre.
I can’t wait till October.
You should be too!
Okay, I have this nagging feeling that Brooke killed herself, and despite of everything that was going on, tried to frame Reed. Why did Reed go over to her place???? Does he have a death wish? When he told Ella at the end, “You know I would do anything for you,” was like an olmen for what was coming. I wonder what Brooke said to Reed.
I feel like also Gideon has a more major role coming up. For goodness sakes, he is sleeping with Dinah. Also, he helped get Ella out of the house while Brooke was trying to seduce Reed. The timely just seems so too coincidental.
Specially sense Ella’s dad is back in the picture. Where was her dad during all of this? Did he hid on purpose? Did Dinah try to get him killed? Did anyone know he was truly alive? So many questions, that we have to wait till October to find out about. Aggggg not looking forward to that.
Easton is like that big beautiful animal that seems like he is tough and strong, but really was abused and hurt. You just want to give the guy a big hug and tell him you love him. I feel so bad for him.
Walsh, Reed’s Best Friend and the QB for the school’s football team, is such a man-whore. OMG I mean he gets more action then a hooker.
What do you think really happened when Reed went over the Brooke’s? Why would he go over to her place? I mean seriously?
