Water’s Edge Series Book 1 & 2 by Stacy Kestwick

Doughnuts were her weakness.
If Sadie Mullins hadn’t been running on the beach to burn off the calories from her doughnut addiction, she wouldn’t have noticed the man not moving out in the water.
Wouldn’t have dived in after him.
Wouldn’t have met West Montgomery.
The cocky bastard should have been thankful, grateful even.
Of course, he wasn’t.
That should have been the end of it.
Of course, it wasn’t.

Damn doughnuts.

Personal Thoughts

Sadie, left her hometown in Nashville and is now in a small southern coastal town with her best friend Rue. She wanted a clean slate, away from her cheating, backstabbing, psycho ex-boyfriend. Rue gets her to break out of her shell and have fun again. While on the beach she ‘interprets’ a man drowning. Well slight problem, Sadie is petrified of the ocean. She dives in to save him and ends up making a fool of herself.

West Montgomery wants to make a name for himself. Well he has at least with the ladies. Rule to never take them to his house, always go to theirs so he can leave right after. This changes when a beautiful blonde with piercing greens eyes attempts to save him while he was out surfing.

This story is a half girl power and half steam loving-making. There are many insecurities that come from Sadie. She has a difficult time trusting men in romantic relationship, because of what happened her. She has been keeping men at arm’s length distances. Well West has a different idea.

What first caught my attention about this book was the synopsis. A girl that loves donuts! Hello. I surprisingly enjoyed this story.
               Be warn MAJOR CLIFF HANGER!
Be grateful now though because book 2 is out and you don’t have to wait like the rest of us that have been twiddling our thumbs for the last year.

Having hope was her weakness.
If Sadie Mullins hadn’t started to believe in love again, hadn’t let herself fall for him, she wouldn’t be feeling this way.
Wouldn’t have her heart breaking.
Wouldn’t regret meeting West Montgomery.
The cocky bastard should have left her alone, let her forget about him.
Let her move on with her life.
Of course, he didn’t.
That could have been the end of it.
Of course, it wasn’t.

Damn hope.

Personal Thoughts

If you read Wet by Stacy Kestwick, this is the 2nd book that ties up the story of West and Sadie. In book one we were left on a cliff hanger seeing West with another women in his arms. Book two picks up right were we left off. The prologue is from West’s point of view; and By-George I am glad for that. The rest of the book is from Sadie’s POV. After seeing West have Aubrey in his arms coming off of his boat, she knew that it was over. Her heart broke and that was the end of it.

Book one there was so must angst between West and Sadie because of Aubrey (a.k.a. Home Wrecker!). In this book Sadie is trying with all her might to forget about West and move on. Problem is, he won’t letter her.

I really enjoyed the first book and I couldn’t wait for the 2nd. I even preorder it, which I only will do with some books. This was one of them.

                  This is a series.
There is no stand alone with it.

If you ever read and enjoyed, Off the Record by K.A Linde then you will enjoy this book. It is sweet but spicy; Hot but with a good amount of Steam. Sadie begins to be stronger and more determined to not allow people to walk over her.  She even learns new things about herself and some of her friends.

If you recall from book one, the douche-bag ex-boyfriend of Sadie’s. Well that guy makes an appearance, and let me tell you, it is not the kind we would want to see. But her BF is always to the rescue.

Should you read this series???
Oh Yeah!
Totally awesome!
