Farah grew up poor. I mean living in a motel, going without food poor. Her mother was a drunk, while her father was a gambling himself into more debt. She has struggled to keep her head on right with a goal of becoming a teacher. She works and saves up money to attend college.

While working and attending school she meets Cooper. Beautiful and dangerous Cooper. She has secrets and emotional baggage she doesn’t want anyone to know. He has a gain of bikers and a legacy to uphold.  These two are either perfect for each other or going to become a train wreck.

Some Spoilers ahead: There were verity of different emotions that came from our dear protagonist, Farah. She suffered from gang rape, neglectful parents. She was abused physically and emotionally. Farah had a difficult time trust anyone. So when Cooper comes into her life, she is immediately wary for him.

What I liked about the book is that Farah didn’t let life eat-her-up. She kept pushing forward. I personal had a difficult time with Cooper. He was WAY to aggressive and forceful. He thought he owned her when he never even took her on a true date. Yea Farah end up liking it, but what does that say to girls. We want a man that is so over baring that we can’t even breath. I don’t think so.

One thing that has to be difficult for our protagonist is being away from her sister. Her sister is still stuck with their father. The girls were ganged raped by a group of bikers and kept hostage for a week. I can’t even fathom that. This book is very intense. Sexual season or graphic and language is strong.
